VISIONMISSIONCore ValuesThe opportunity to develop this project came from his concerns after completing the Social Business Creation Competition. At that time, his team developed a vocational training project to improve the lives of people with disabilities in Vietnam. After the competition, with the desire to do something meaningful for society, and receiving valuable advice from the lecturers, he decided to develop an art therapy project to improve the spiritual life of students. Vietnam Youth.Project R.O.O.M. delves into the hidden chambers of the human mind. Imagine each person's mind as a house with countless doors, each concealing cherished desires, hopes, and dreams. Past biases, failures, or wounds may have slammed these doors shut, but the yearnings haven't vanished. They linger deep within the walls of the soul, persisting somewhere in the recesses of the mind like embers beneath the surface, waiting to rekindled. This project, dubbed "R.O.O.M.," derives its significance from the deep recesses of each individual's mind, akin to a house with many doors, behind each of which lie stored desires, hopes, and dreams that people have long closed off due to biases, failures, or wounds. Furthermore, the project retains its essence through the name "R.O.O.M." derived from the initials "Reflection, Optimism, Openness and Mindfulness" emphasizing the core values and goals of the project. Additionally, there are potential doors of the future that, without finding the right key, will remain locked. These aren't lost forever, merely waiting for the right key. We've built coping mechanisms, alternative routes to navigate life, but they can't extinguish the embers of forgotten dreams. Sometimes, we even feel a deep longing, hoping that one day people will courageously open these doors and confront the challenges and wounds. It will be a moment when we can truly be ourselves, breaking free from mental scars and invisible pressures. Each creation serves as a key, unlocking the inner sanctums of the soul. Through art, individuals heal and dispel the unspoken, akin to repairing their spiritual haven. Barnard's timeless adage, "A picture is worth a thousand words," resonates across generations, underscoring the profound impact of visual expression (Barnard, 1921). This exhibition delves into the transformative potential of art therapy within the realms of role-playing and virtual reality, inviting participants to explore multifaceted healing journeys, expressing the complexities of the self and the inner workings art can evoke.
Art is a therapeutic medium that opens up limitless space where people can freely explore and express themselves without being limited by rules. Through the creative process and the support of a psychologist, each individual can gain a deeper understanding of themselves, build confidence, reduce stress and improve mood. Art is not only creative but also a powerful tool for mental healing and bringing balance in life.
